56 Card Game Online

Privacy Policy

Effective 26 October 2026.

This site is a free online home for the card game 56, run for its community of players. This page explains, in plain words, what information we keep about you, why, and what you can do about it.

What we store

Why we store it

Only to run the game you signed up for: signing you in, seating you at tables, keeping match history and replays, and running the token system. Recorded games — the bids and the cards played — are also used to teach and test the site's BOT players. We do not build profiles of you and we never sell your information. The outside services that help run the site are listed further down this page.

Your device and where you sign in from

When you use the site, your browser tells us what kind of device it is: the operating system, the browser, whether it is a phone, tablet or computer, and the size of your screen and window. We keep this, with the country, region and city you signed in from (worked out from your internet address, which we do not keep), so we can make sure the game displays properly on the screens our players really use and look into problems you report. It is never used for advertising and never shared. It is deleted with your account.

Playing time

So we can suggest a break after a few hours of play, we keep the stretches of time you spend at a live table or with the site open and in use. Only you see the total, and the record is deleted after 30 days.

Chat moderation

Every chat message is checked automatically before other players see it. To do that, the text of the message — and nothing else about you: no name, no email — is sent to Anthropic, the company behind the Claude AI models, which answers whether the message is acceptable. Under Anthropic's terms for this kind of use, the messages are not used to train its models.

A message the check refuses is not shown to anyone. It is kept, with the reason, so the site administrator can review it, and repeated refusals pause your chat for a day (the administrator can also pause or lift a chat pause by hand). If the check cannot run, your message goes through and is recorded as unchecked.

Feedback you post

Feedback you post on the site's feedback board is shown to other players with your display name once a feedback moderator has let it through; until then only you, the feedback moderators and the administrator see it. Feedback sent from a table keeps a note of that table, the moment in the game and your screen size, so we can see what you saw.

Signing in with Google

If you choose "Sign in with Google", Google tells us your email address, that Google has confirmed it, and your name. We use them only to find or create your account here. We never receive your Google password or anything else from your Google account.

Accounts from the old site

This site is the upgraded version of 56cardgameonline.com. If you played there, your account was brought over when this site opened: your email address, your display name, your password in the same scrambled form (it is scrambled afresh the first time you sign in here), your groups and your match history, so your old matches can be read and replayed here. Everything on this page applies to it in the same way.

Cookies

We set exactly one cookie ourselves: a strictly necessary sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in between visits. It cannot be read by scripts and is not used to track you. There are no analytics or tracking cookies of our own.

Settings kept in your browser

Some display choices, such as screen layouts you have picked, and the notices you have already seen are saved in your browser's own storage so they are remembered next time. They stay on your device, are never sent to us, and you can clear them at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Advertising

This site is free because it shows advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and other companies that supply ads use cookies to show you ads based on your earlier visits to this site and to other websites. Google's advertising cookies let it and its partners choose ads for you from those visits, and to measure them. You can turn off personalised ads from Google at adssettings.google.com, and from many other ad companies at www.aboutads.info. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland you are asked for consent first; if you decline, you still see ads, but not personalised ones. How Google uses this data is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. If your browser blocks ads, the site may ask you to allow them.

Services that help run the site

How long we keep it

For as long as your account exists. When you delete your account (below), everything tied to your identity is removed or anonymized at that moment.

Your rights

Who sees what

Players in your groups and at your tables see your display name and your chat messages. Members of a group can watch its tables live; they see your cards only if your preference allows it, or when you approve their request at the table. Match logs and replays of finished games show the names of the players who took part. Site administrators can see token records in order to run the token system, and the chat messages the automatic check refused, with the reason; the administrator also sees the device and sign-in place records described above. Nobody — including administrators — can see your password.

If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new effective date, and meaningful changes are announced on the site.
